Job Description

Cyclelink are looking for an experienced mechanic who is keen to develop their career and take a leading position within our team.

The role is that of a senior mechanic with general responsibility for the best operation of the workshop.

We are open six days a week. The job will involve working five days per week to include alternate Saturdays at our Thames Ditton shop. We are flexible with working hours and will endeavour to arrange a working pattern that suits both the demands of the shop and the needs of the successful applicant.

We service a broad range of both road, commuting and mountain bikes. 

Skills/Experience Required

  • Ideally you will be qualified to Cytech Level 3 or equivalent with proven skill and experience on both road, mountain and commuter bikes
  • You will need to have good people skills including an ability to nurture the skills of the rest of our mechanics.
  • As we run an open workshop, you will be customer facing and will need to be able to explain the work we are carrying out in a friendly informative manner. You will also need to manage workshop bookings and provide accurate quotations. 
  • You will be expected to offer advice both verbally and by text or e-mail.
  • We are looking for someone who strives to achieve the highest level of service in a timely fashion with a desire to develop their skills and those of the people with whom they work.
  • Training will be provided but prior workshop experience is essential. 
  • Ideally you will have a good experience with electronic gears, high end road and mountain bikes as well as Bromptons.
