Charity ramps up financial advice for independent retailers

Posted on in Business News, Cycles News

Industry charity GroceryAid has teamed up with Business Debtline to provide support and guidance to the growing number of independent retailers facing debt and unpaid invoices.

The move comes as GroceryAid has reported more and more demand from retailers for help in dealing with issues including business rates, managing their finances and debt.

Businesses can now get tips and guidance from GroceryAid directly or to find out how to contact the Business Debtline for advice more tailored to their situation.

Mandi Leonard, GroceryAid’s welfare director, said: “We know dealing with debt can be incredibly overwhelming, and with the current cost of living crisis having a knock-on effect for both small businesses’ profits and their owners, we’re very pleased to announce our new partnership providing businesses with the support they need to thrive and maintain peace of mind.”

Business Debtline is a charity providing free debt advice to self-employed people and small businesses in England, Wales and Scotland.
