open sign Welsh assembly members were given the chance to show their support for their favourite local shops in their communities at a drop-in event at the National Assembly for Wales.

Members also send supportive videos messages to the shops in their constituency expressing their deepest gratitude towards the local communities.

A motion has been tabled to endorse the Welsh Local shop report findings, recognising the valuable role of convenience stores play in the communities and hubs of Wales.
