Consumer uncertainty around Brexit

Posted on in Business News

online sales

Internet Retailing reports on the concerns voiced by consumers with regards to the looming date of Brexit. Consumers are hinting around holding back on spending due to their fear of what Brexit will bring to the UK.

A new study suggests that almost half (48%) are worried about the process of leaving the EU and how it will impact their retail spending.

It is from these uncertainties that many retailers have placed multichannel retailing systems in play that centre around the customer and how they want to buy.

Retailers are now ensuring that they can operate in a multichannel manner serving customers online and across sales channels in the way they want to buy.

Why would customers buy from retailers that make it harder for them?

Retailers, including Domino's Pizza, are reporting higher sales through changes and amendments to their retailing systems. Retailers are now making it easier for customers to buy from them and this is why we are seeing a divide between sales growth and flat lining or failing sales reports.

Make your customers' lives easier and give them the voice in 2019.
