Customer Service is at the forefront of my business, after all, without customers, I would have no business. I worked for the NHS for some considerable years before taking the opportunity to start my own business. I have always taken time to listen to patients, with their fears and anxieties and found that being able to make an initial connection to them helped me to be bale to carry out my duties in the best way. I have taken that approach into my shop. I know some people may come in, knowing exactly what they want to buy, get it and then go about their day. Others I realise need to have a safe platform where they can simply talk and tell me how they are feeling or if they have worries. So we tale the time to discuss. Since COVID-19 I took the initiative to offer bookable half hour slots which can be selected from my Facebook page. This ensures that person has a protected 30 minutes in which they can roam safely around my shop without having to worry about safe distancing. Since the local eateries and nearby cafes are still closed, I can offer them complimentary refreshments whilst they are looking around. Customers can still come in and get a similar treatment inasmuch as I ask them to gel their hands and then I close the door behind them and lock it, so that they too can have protected time in a safe distancing environment. Since COVID-19 closed temporarily closed us down, I managed to engage with my current customers and gain some exciting new followers by using my Facebook page to showcase new stock and a 'Mouse a day throughout May, keeps Corona away'. It needs to be seen! @pierstventnor. I am budget conscious and price my products with that in mind. Everyone should be proud of the place they call home and everyone should be able to purchase those beautiful little 'somethings' that reflect us as people and brings us joy or simply by thoughtfully giving to others as gifts. My intension (and it is currently work in progress) is to have a supporting online shop which can be sent by post, used by click and collect or I will be happy to deliver to island addresses. My shop is only open 3 days a week as I am a Key Worker from Monday to Wednesday. I am fortunate to have built a wonderful relationship with the businesses around 'ou end' of Pier Street and love the Ventnor Community Spirit. I really wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
