We are a small, totally independent Coffee Shop in the village of Tintwistle, Derbyshire. Myself and my daughter used to run a Cake ‘Honesty Box’ in the village where we live but in late 2017 took the plunge and applied for planning permission to turn a local, tiny residential property into a commercial one and open a Cakery & Coffee Shop! Permission was granted (on Christmas Eve...best Christmas present ever!), we undertook the renovation needed and first opened our doors on 30 June 2018. The Coffee Shop is going from strength to strength and we absolutely love being able to provide a space for locals, walkers and holidaymakers to enjoy a great coffee and home made food and cake...all of it home made by ourselves on the premises. We also make celebration cakes to order. We care very much about the environment and have no plastic take away packaging. We are also a vegetarian coffee shop and offer lots of vegan cake and lunch options. We try to reuse and recycle as much as possible...all our used coffee grounds go to locals for use on their allotments and gardens. We also offer a 30p discount on a drink if customers bring their own cup. We are open 6 days a week (closed on Mondays).
