Founded in the summer of 2019, Refills on the Road is Derbyshire's mobile zero waste shop. With the mission to bring plastic-free shopping to the Derbyshire Dales, we offer a mobile refill van where customers can buy shelf staple foods and cleaning products in their own containers. We also offer a comprehensive range of plastic-free toiletries and household goods.
The business was first established as a market stall, gradually expanding into pop-ups and finally converting a van into a mobile shop. We offer one-to-one service and advice to our customers on ways to reduce their use of single-use plastics, which benefits the community on micro and macro level.The customer creates less plastic waste, the Council has less waste to collect, and the wider environment suffers less pollution.
