Our home city of Portsmouth was once known for its soap making and restorative sea bathing. We’re bringing that heritage back to life, with natural skincare inspired by coastal beauty.

Southsea Bathing Hut make natural skincare from the seaside. For face, hands, feet and body, every product is natural, vegan and cruelty free.

Our apothecary in Southsea is a unique space. The shop is attached to the skincare lab, where we experiment, formulate and make every single Southsea Bathing Hut product by hand, in small batches. Walk past at the right time of day and you might spot us hard at work on a new batch. You can watch us work our magic through the large window. If you like what we see, drop into the shop and sample some for yourself.

Our small and friendly team are always happy to talk about the products - from what's in them and how they're made, through to what will best meet your skincare needs, or what will be the perfect present for a loved one.

For the ultimate pampering experience, treat yourself to a treatment by our Natural Skincare and Wellbeing Therapist. Every treatment uses products handmade on the premises - often fresh that very day. Being inspired by the seaside, we offer a touch of thalassotherapy in every treatment - which means you'll enjoy the benefits of products made with seaweed and other fruits of the sea.

If you want to take things a step further, you can book onto one of our popular workshops. Our founder Samantha can teach you to make your own products - from soap bars to solid perfumes and more. Or bring your friends to a community spa party, where you'll get a guided tour through our organic facial range, applying the perfect facial with the help of our expert Therapist.
