What innovations did you initiate to combat the impact of COVID-19
After my shop closed for lockdown I revamped my dormant website adding over 800 products & reinvented myself as a local delivery service. I introduced regular videos & social media 'lives' to keep the face to face contact with customers that we were all missing, alongside posting craft ideas & about community eventsI rearranged the interior of the shop to create a one way system & room for social distancing with pencil queue markers painted outside.
I held a best decorated window competition and shaved my head raising over £7k for local struggling charity
Once the shop reopened I have kept up the delivery side for people shielding, added a 'click'n'collect' option & started to offer private appointments for those too anxious or unable to shop within normal hours. By offering products needed by people now working at home I have seen an increase in new customers
