Uptown Girl is one of Cowdenbeath's longest established businesses, which opened in 1984. The shop came under new ownership in April 2016 when it was taken over by myself Jean Young. After purchasing my own wedding shoes from the previous owner in 2015 I fell in love with the shop. Less than a year later I fulfilled a dream & became the proud owner of Uptown Girl! Since then the shop has undergone a bit of a makeover & I have rebranded renaming the shop “Jean@UptownGirl”. I LOVE the shop & what I do & am very proud of my achievements to date. I pride myself on delivering excellent Customer Service. You will always receive a professional and friendly welcome in a relaxed no pressure atmosphere.

Currently I am the only store in Fife where you can purchase the Joe Browns Couture Range of Gorgeous Shoes & Matching Bags.
Home Parties or Exclusive VIP Shopping Events in the store are available . If you wish to gather a few friends together for some stress free shopping you will be rewarded with a discount on goods purchased.

If you want a personal 1-2-1 service out of normal business hours to help you find the perfect shoes and accessories to complete your outfit please contact us. We appreciate your time is valuable & work or family commitments may mean you are unable to visit the store during normal opening hours. We now offer a Personal Shopping Experience after hours by appointment whereby you will receive a 1-2-1 Bespoke Personal Service. We encourage customers to bring along their outfit which may be tried on with our gorgeous accessories to complete the look. Brides to be are welcome to bring along their wedding party.
