What makes you the UK's Best Small Shop
We pride ourselves on providing not only the highest quality, ethical products for young children - but also the best customer experience and service. We have multiple ways in which you can shop with us and browse our brands from Facebook and Instagram shopping, orders over the telephone, our online store and in our physical store. Small Stuff has multiple delivery options nationally and internationally, so there is an option for everyone! We also offer ways to get rewarded by shopping with us; automatically planting trees via Offset Earth for every order online over £20 (987 trees in 3 months), to free delivery over £40, collecting loyalty points from shopping with us to get great discounts in the store and online and working with an independent local magazine to drive a loyalty scheme via their app. We work closely with Work for Good as a charity partner via sales for multiple charitiesWhat innovations did you initiate to combat the impact of COVID-19
Our online store has thrived during these challenging times, as we used our customer knowledge to deliver the very best service, zoom videos for gift purchasing and safe local hand delivery for our community. With free delivery available for all national orders and reopened international delivery at the very best rates using UPS. For all gift orders, we offered a free handwritten card with all orders so that the recipient could enjoy their gift on their birthdays or celebrations in lock-down. We utilised social media and reached so many new customers both locally and nationally. We were consistent with our newsletters and found interesting ways to keep young ones entertained - by sending out free colouring packs or early years homeschooling advice as well as sharing ideas we were doing at home with our little one too - a brilliant way to engage an online community both wide and afar.Tell us how you engage with the local community
During the lockdown, we used the opportunity to work with The Planet Mark (a fantastic organisation which helps businesses with transparency, carbon auditing and promotion of ethical practices) this has been a great way to engage with our community to promote our ethos and message through a transparent and honest way - which has had fantastic feedback. We have also been in constant communication with our local community, by using our voice on social media to drive "local shopping" whether that be coffee shops able to adapt or our local indie chocolate shop - which again has had fantastic feedback. I have used social media, local and national media and BBC radio (4 and 5live) to promote the shop and the local high street and have been in constant communication with our local mp to drive better cycling and pedestrian management, electric points and more to get people to our amazing street.Brands stocked
