Pedal Power Cycles have been established for over 40 years. Originally located in a small shop at the end of West Calder's Main Street they now command one of the biggest cycling retail floor spaces in Scotland with a massive store - spread across three floors - in the centre of West Calder.
Run by ex-mountain biking champion Jonathan McBain, Pedal Power can advise on all aspects of cycling from your kids first bike right up to pro-level road and off-road bikes, accessories and clothing.
The store is open 7-days.

What makes you the UK's Best Small Shop
Our main focus is on customer service, most of our custom is repeat or recommendation based. We offer discounts for people in local cycling clubs. As one of Scotland's largest bicycle shops we have more choice of bikes and accessories than most shops in the UK. Sponsoring young local riders is something we are proudly associated with. We no longer offer plastic carrier bags having switched to paper. We also offer a bike wash top up saving money for the customer and 1 less plastic bottle each time. Our website has been our most recent area we have dedicated time to as we are now know further afield. Social media is our most popular way of advertising news or new products to our customers so we use very high quality images that are ours along with our own text to avoid copy/pasting from other websites, this keeps us in the loop whilst being original. Our free coffee is great too!Tell us how you engage with the local community
We have a nice coffee area and machine in the shop along with TVs playing live races so we often have cyclists stopping in half way through a ride for a coffee and chat. Locally a large cycling hub has successfully received funding for a large cycling area to be built and in the latest fundraising round we donated over  £3000 worth of prizes to the the cause. This is something we feel will massively benefit the local community and get more people on bikes. We often hold special events throughout the year including our now famous "Festival of Bike" which will be its 3rd iteration this April. Attendance was up 300% from 2018's event to 2019's so hopefully 2020's will be even bigger!
