Job Description

The Cycle Hub is a busy, service-led independent bike shop based in Queensferry, near Chester. We work on a wide range of bikes including road, MTB, gravel and e-bikes.

We are looking for someone who wants to become a professional bike mechanic and learn the trade in a real workshop environment.

Working alongside experienced mechanics, you will:

  • Assist with bike builds and pre-delivery inspections

  • Support servicing and repair work

  • Learn how to diagnose and fix real-world issues

  • Work on a variety of bikes, from everyday repairs to higher-end builds

  • Develop speed, accuracy and good workshop habits

This is a hands-on role in a busy workshop where you will learn by doing.

We provide structured training and will fund and support your Cytech training as part of your development.

This is not just a job — it’s a pathway into becoming a skilled bike technician.

Skills/Experience Required

  • Interest in bikes (road, MTB, gravel or e-bikes)

  • Enjoys working with their hands

  • Reliable and willing to learn

  • Able to take instruction and work as part of a team

  • Good attention to detail and pride in doing things properly

No formal qualifications required — attitude and willingness to learn matter most.
