Job Description – Bicycle Mechanic
Location: Newbold Comyn Cycle Trails Hub, Leamington Spa
Job Type: Hourly - 35 hours
Rate of Pay: Competitive
About Us:
We are a growing cycle hire and retail business with four established locations across Warwickshire. Our newest site at Newbold Comyn is a unique hub combining retail, hire, coaching, events, and trail access – creating a vibrant destination for cyclists of all levels.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Bicycle Mechanic to join our team at the Newbold Comyn Cycle Trails Hub. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident in both technical servicing and providing great customer interaction. You’ll be responsible for maintaining our hire fleet, carrying out customer bike repairs, and ensuring our workshop runs smoothly and professionally. You’ll also support wider site activity, including mechanical support for cycling events, and be involved in trail maintenance, hire logistics, and general shop support. This is a varied role with room to grow in a supportive and passionate team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and repair a variety of bikes, including dual-suspension and electric models
- Maintain and prepare the hire bikes to a high safety standard
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to customers
- Complete safety checks, builds, and accessory installations
- Assist with shop floor duties and customer service when needed
- Maintain an organised and efficient workshop environment
- Accurately log repairs and service jobs
- Support event delivery with mechanical support and bike setup
- Help monitor stock levels for parts, spares, and tools
- Uphold high standards of health and safety across all activities
Requirements:
- Cytech Level 2 certification (minimum)
- Minimum 1 year’s experience working on bikes, including dual-suspension and e-bikes
- Solid understanding of bike mechanics and component compatibility
- Confident working independently and as part of a small team
- Friendly and professional approach to customer service
- Willingness to support events and work weekends
- Passionate about cycling and keen to stay up to date with industry developments

Skills/Experience Required
