Job Description
We are looking for a part time lead mechanic to join us at our new shop on The South Downs in Washington, West Sussex.
We're still a relatively new business so will just be looking for somebody to work around 3 days per week to start with, but this could increase as we get busier.
Our business specialises in the buying and selling of pre-owned bikes, so you will be required to repair and service all bikes that come in to get them to a level that we are happy to sell them at with a warranty.
We also offer workshop services for customers to bring their bikes in for service or repair, so that will also be part of the required duties.
The salary on offer is circa £14 per hour but this is negotiable depending on the level of experience.
Skills/Experience Required
MUST HAVE
- Experience of working within a bicycle workshop environment
- Have the knowledge required to offer all levels of bike servicing and be able to completely strip a bike down and put it back together again
- Be able to work fast and efficiently to get work completed on time
PREFERABLE
- Experience and knowledge of electric bikes and required running diagnostics on them
- Experience and knowledge of service full suspension bikes and shocks
- A recognised bike mechanic qualification from Cytech or similar
