Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday (SBS) is a UK grassroots campaign that actively encourages consumers to shop locally and support the small business in their local communities.

The SBS campaign is now in its sixth year, aiming to have a lasting impact on small businesses across the UK.SBS held its event on the 1st of December and news about this will follow in the next few weeks. 

Small buisness saturday 2018

 

The 2017 campaign was the most successful yet, with:

  • Customers spending an estimated £748m in small business on Small Business Saturday
  • More than 115,000 tweets were sent on the day with the official #SmallBizSatUK hashtag, which reached 115 million people and was trending at number one in the UK
  • Over 87% of local authorities actively supported the campaign, form hosting small business event to providing free parking on the day

James Lowman, ACS chief executive, said:

"We are delighted to support Small Business Saturday in their mission of providing support to small businesses who serve their local communities".

SBS' campaign highlights the vital role that businesses play in their communities.
