250 free-of-charge digital Out of Home campaigns offered to local businesses

Posted on in Cycles News

From butchers and bakers, to candlestick makers, and everyone else in between: Clear Channel UK is proudly offering 250 free of charge digital Out of Home campaigns to the UK's local business owners that have worked tirelessly to support their local communities throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

The initiative - #BusinessAsUnusual - has been set up so that the neighbourhood business owners, who've worked hard to adapt and continue trading, can drum up some new trade. They'll have the opportunity to broadcast new opening hours, deliveries, takeaways and the many other imaginative ways that they're operating to keep offering products and services.

Clear Channel's 2300+ screen strong Adshel Live (digital six-sheet) network will host the local advertisements, playing them on screens within a mile radius of the local business.

As many local businesses won't have the facility to create their own advertisements for the screens, Clear Channel is offering design support to bring the free campaigns to life if required. Business owners will simply be able to share an image and the words to be used, and the team will do the rest.

One of the first businesses to join the initiative is The Griffin pub in Brentford. The pub has adapted to keep its kitchen open and offer a takeaway meal services four days a week, including a Sunday roast.

The Griffin's Landlords Gerhard and Claire Peleschka, "It's been exceptionally tricky times for us over the past few weeks, but we've worked really hard to keep serving the local community which we're proudly a part of. The support of Clear Channel is very welcome and we're so glad that we can get the word out even further that we're open for takeaway."

Clear Channel's Chief Marketing Officer Martin Corke says, "The efforts that local business owners have gone to keep their communities watered, fed, healthy, happy and safe are astounding and they deserve celebrating. I'm immensely proud that we can offer 250 free-of-charge campaigns to local businesses, especially at a time when they all need our custom more than ever."

Local business owners can apply for their free Out of Home campaign through the Clear Channel Direct website here.
