How to clean and disinfect your POS devices

Are you ready for SCA?

The SCA deadline for the UK has changed to 14 March 2022 and UK issuers are expected to adopt these requirements with a ‘ramp up’ plan from June 2021.

Want to know more? You’ll also find the latest SCA updates on our new blog, here.

Contactless limit increase

The contactless limit will increase to £100 on 15 October 2021 and all card machines in the UK must be capable of accepting contactless card transactions up to the new limit of £100.

If you rent a terminal from us, you don’t need to worry about this change, as we’ll make the updates from early October. This doesn’t affect contactless payments via digital wallets, as they continue to offer no limit on transactions.

If you require more details, please visit the Global Payments Help Centre.

For more information about how you can use Global Payments in your business visit the ACT website here (cycles businesses) or the ActSmart website here (all other businesses).
