Leading bike brands get behind Bikesoup

Posted on

Bikesoup the UK's premier new & used bicycle marketplace has added a new fast upload feature to the site, supported by a number of leading bike brands.

IBDs will now be able to create adverts for their stock on the Bikesoup platform in a matter of seconds. The new fast upload feature uses a database of 2011 bike specs and images provided by the manufacturers & distributors to pre-populate adverts with all the current bike model information.

Bicycle brands already on board Bikesoup include: Trek, Ridgeback, Marin, Saracen, Whyte, Genesis, Wilier and Adventure with more brands being added all the time...

Feedback indicated that a lot of specialist cycle retailers found the upload process to be time-consuming, and the new feature overcomes just that. IBDs will now be able to reach a nationwide audience even quicker by uploading up to 100 bikes in less than 1 hour.

JP Saville, Quest Adventure said ‘I have been using Bikesoup to market my bikes since they launched in late 2010 but found it very time consuming writing the adverts & sourcing bike images. This fast new upload process resolves that issue & I'll upload my full shop inventory onto the site at the first opportunity. It's also fantastic to have endorsement from the leading bike brands & will help me gain new customers'.

Bikesoup is committed to the development of the IBD sector and announced their partnership though ActSmart back in December. The unique advertising platform is driving consumers directly to IBDs and promoting in-shop bike purchases in line with major bike brands' selling policies.

As a standalone offering Bikesoup is unique, with hundreds of bicycles already on sale at significantly lesser advertising costs that competing, auction sites.

Bikesoup has also been promoted to consumers on The Cycling Experts website. Any retailer can display the product physically available on their shop floor via the growing number of consumer sites which use the experts shop search feed, for an example of a Bikesoup shop listing click here

The shop search also feeds numerous other cycle consumer websites (Sustrans, Bike Hub and more), allowing IBDs the opportunity to put the product on your shop floor in front over 250,000 cycle consumers nationally every month.
