Those businesses which made the list were honoured at a lunchtime award ceremony on 15 June.

The event, which took place at the Courthouse Hotel in London’s Shoreditch, was supported by headline partner WOLF and silver sponsors the Company of Master Jewellers, TH March and River Mounts, and gifting sponsor Goodman Bros, as well as official supporter the National Association of Jewellers.

All the top 100 independent jewellery and watch retailers from the UK and Ireland were invited to attend the ceremony where the five regional winners, which received the most from across the industry, were announced.

The regional winners were:

Scotland & Ireland – Finnies

The North – Bradley's Jewellers York

The Midlands – Sonny's Jewellers

The Southeast – EC One

The Southwest & Wales – JRC Jewellery

Retail Jeweller acting editor Sarah Jordan said:

“Inspiring Independents is a fantastic initiative that shines a light on the professionalism, determination and passion of the UK and Irish jewellery retail sector. Being able to reward the five Regional Winners in London this year was a special treat during my tenure as acting editor."
