Take part in CI.N's market data drive and earn rewards

Posted on in Business News, Cycles News

CyclingIndustry.News SurveyCyclingIndustry.News is calling on the UK's independent bike shops to take part in its third annual Independent Retail Channel Study, something which you can now do here. This year's survey consists of 41 questions, making it unashamedly more in depth than previous years, although the estimated time for completion runs at only ten minutes and retailers have until the end of 2019 to complete the survey.

Each year CI.N looks to broaden the scope of data collected in order to better understand the movements in the bicycle market and thus inform its editorial. With last year's data - collected from over 200 independents, compiled and anonymised - they were able to assist those in the business to better forecast spend decisions, compare their ideas against a wider trend and ultimately see where to invest for the year ahead.

"Our annual study of the Independent Retail Channel acts as a barometer for the market's health, mood and gives foresight as to what we might expect in future. If you're among those helping collate the findings, you'll be the first to see what retailers like you are investing in and pulling away from and as a bonus, our sponsors have free goods to send all participants."- Editor Mark Sutton

Among those sponsors, Raleigh will be sending out a goodie bag with products from its portfolio included, as will Cambrian Tyres, the UK arm of Continental Bicycle Tyres.

Sutton adds "We believe depth and quality of data to be the only way to serve the market at a time when forecasting is more complicated than ever. Whether it's data on what stores are dedicating floor space to or analysis of which trade shows are attended and why, we're covering it to assist everybody in effectively managing budgets and time over the year ahead."

If you would like to be the recipient of our study and a bag of goods, please join CI.N in better understanding the cycling market by completing the survey here.
